Boet Cronjé is stubborn and arrogant. He denies that his coloured right-hand man, on the farm, is actually his half-brother. Initially his future seems promising - with God at his side, a family farm and a heir. But an enduring drought and the death of his son causes him to revolt against God.
Die koggelaar
tells the story of a man who is convinced that God is mocking him. Ironically, he is the one making a mockery.
