About this book:
The story of Leonardo Blood, who grows up in a poor, but loving family. When his father and little brother die in an accident, everything changes. Leonardo eventually runs away and ends up on the street. Rodger, an old Englishman, becomes like a father figure to him. When Rodger gets sick and Leonardo visits him in the hospital, he discovers something unexpected. Themes in the story are relevant/current: homelessness, gender violence, sexual molestation, gang violence.
