Is weer Sagie | General Fiction

Human & Rousseau
The second novel in a proposed trilogy, this sequel to Is Sagie is set four years after Ansie, the girl Sagie grew to love, left Ladismith with her parents. The guileless and childlike young Sagie still farms with his father Barend in the Klein-Karoo. Whenever Sagie gets a chance he works on a house for Ansie, believing she will return when he has finished it. Sagie’s unrealistic expectation worries his father so much that it leads to an almost unimaginable action on his part.
As heartbreakingly poignant as the first novel about Sagie. The reader cannot fail to be moved by this innocent young man’s difficult path to maturity.
