Huppel the rabbit runs into an argument with his mother: Again he is supposed to tidy up his room, wash his ears and even do his morning exercises! Life with his friends must be a lot better, thinks Huppel – and so he simply runs away from home.
But he soon realises things are not as perfect as they seem. Liefie the mouse’s house is so untidy and Roelie the badger’s house smells funny. At first Huppel loves staying with his cousin Hallie-hoe, but it’s not long before he starts to feel a little sad. There is something missing in his life that makes his little rabbit heart hurt all over: Mommy Rabbit . . .
A heart-warming and exquisitely illustrated story, lovingly translated by Linda Rode
