Herinneringe aan Parys | General Fiction
André P. Brink
Human & Rousseau
In his memoir André Brink called Paris the city he loved above all others. This selection is made by the author himself from his two books about Paris published in the 60s, Pot-Pourri (1962) and Parys-Parys: Retoer (1969), after his two sojourns in the French capital.
His impressions of different aspects of life in Paris and of its people are written with a keen eye for what is funny and what is poignant. The tone in the sketches vary from humour to serious reflection. Very readable and enjoyable personal stories about this famous and popular city.
