Trompie makes use of his entrepreneurial skills to draw up a business plan for a tuck shop at school. The members of his gang have to contribute money to get this enterprise up and running and are most upset when things don’t work out as well as their Big Chief had promised. Even Dawie’s attempt to rescue the tuck shop fails and the four friends are at their wits’ end.
When Trompie uses a talking doll to play a trick on an inexperienced teacher he gets a brilliant idea for a new business venture. But who will be prepared to lend this freckle-faced boy and his mates money and who will buy from them after the tuck shop was such a flop? Fortunately our hero is bent on proving he is an ace businessman – and no one has ever managed to sidetrack him once he really gets going!
