Daar is ook geen twyfel nie dat John Miles se Kroniek uit die doofpot een van die belangrikste Afrikaanse romans van die afgelope 20 jaar is. Hoewel ’n mens so ’n stelling nie ligtelik kan maak nie, is daar talle redes waarom hierdie roman nou gelees óf herlees moet word.
