Marc, a sensitive young South African artist, goes to Jerusalem to investigate his roots and meet his Jewish grandmother, Ruwth. He soon begins to feel an affinity for the Jewish faith, and in the midst of suicide bomb attacks he falls in love with Rivkah, a courageous Jewess. Back in South Africa he tries to sort out the chaos in his heart: Is he a Christian or a Jew? South African or Israeli? Could he face up to living in a country where there is so much violence and unrest – despite having Rivkah at his side? Is there a future for them together with their contrasting cultural, political and religious backgrounds? And who is Yeshua (Jesus)? Does He really exist?
