Christine Barkhuizen le Roux has published two poetry collections, dimensie (2000) and roset (2006) and a short story collection, Waar koek en wyn ontbreek (2006).

The novel Padmaker was completed as part of her MA in Creative Writing at UCT, which she completed cum laude.
