Anne Landsman
Biographical info

Anne Landsman was born and raised in Worcester in the Western Cape and received degrees from the University of Cape Town and Columbia University. Her first novel, The Devil’s Chimney, which was nominated for four awards including the M-Net Prize, was set in Oudtshoorn.

She has published essays in the anthologies, An Uncertain Inheritance and The Honeymoon’s Over, and has also written for The Washington Post, The Believer, Poets & Writers, Bomb and The American Poetry Review. She lives in New York City with her husband and children.
